Lenders eligible to be approved to underwrite MIF insured loans include:

• banks, savings banks and savings and loans
  
  
• public pension funds and retirement systems
  
  
• government agencies including the New York State Housing Finance Agency and the New York City Housing Development Corporation
  
  
• industrial development agencies (IDAs)
